The Ecological Reserve of the Botanical Gardens of Sofia University are a mere 8 km (a 15 minute bus ride) from the centre of Varna (Brezite bus stop) along the way to Golden Sands. Against an entrance fee of 4 BGN one can take a cab ride across the park, enjoy its many remarkably beautiful spots, have a BBQ or take a donkey ride.

The ecological reserves spans 30 hectares The garden has a collection of unique plant species from all over the world, among which Sterculia, Quillaja Saponaria, Live Oaks, American Hawthorn, etc. There are over 50 rose species in the rose garden.

The Botanical Garden is open daily from 09:00 to 19:00 hours.
